What Is an eSIM?
A simple guide to understanding eSIM technology. No technical jargon, just clear answers.
The Simple Answer
An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. Instead of inserting a physical card, you activate it by scanning a QR code.
That’s it. Same functionality as a regular SIM — calls, texts, data — but no tiny plastic card to lose or swap. The “e” stands for “embedded” because it’s already inside your phone.
